Jim has played this venue several times over the past few years for St. Patty's Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, July 4th, summer "Lu-als" and other seasonal functions as the residents have enjoyed his performances and requested him back again and again; and so tonight is the second annual outdoor Hawaiian "Lu-Al"  picnic 2011 complete with roasted pig!

At Cathedral Village, their Concert Committee invites quality musical artists to perform in their auditorium, Cathedral Hall. Once a month, classically trained musicians perform live for their residents using an array of instruments such as the violin, piano, and cello. Most of the professional musicians who visit have traveled the world performing with major orchestras. They also showcase up and coming award winning musicians. Their monthly concerts are one of the most popular events. Attendance is high and the reviews are always flattering. Cathedral Village, a nonprofit, nondenominational and multicultural CCRC (Continuing Care Retirement Community) is located in the residential neighborhood of Andorra in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Since opening in 1979, their Board of Directors, management and staff, have dedicated their time and efforts to creating a unique, active, and secure environment for their residents. Built on 40 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, Cathedral Village is committed to enhancing the quality of life for each resident while encouraging them to maintain their independence.

Jim has played this venue several times over the past few years for St. Patty's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day and other seasonal functions as the residents have enjoyed his performances and requested him back again and again. At Cathedral Village, their Concert Committee invites quality musical artists to perform in their auditorium, Cathedral Hall. Once a month, classically trained musicians perform live for their residents using an array of instruments such as the violin, piano, and cello. Most of the professional musicians who visit have traveled the world performing with major orchestras. They also showcase up and coming award winning musicians. OLLIES BARGAIN OUTLET(Grand Opening)

Jim has been hired to sing the National Anthem for the Grand Opening of a new "Ollies Bargain Outlet" in Bristol PA--the ribbon cutting and speech by President and CEO Mark Butler begins at 10:00AM, followed by Jim's anthem rendition at 10:15am...a little history behind "Ollies::

The first Ollie's Bargain Outlet store was born in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on July 29, 1982 to its four founding fathers: Mark Butler, Mort Bernstein, Oliver “Ollie” Rosenberg, and Harry Coverman. The second location opened soon after in Harrisburg on October of 1982 as Ollie's annex, but was such a huge success it was soon named Ollie's "East". The concept continued to grow and "Good Stuff Cheap" became a part of the Central Pennsylvania landscape.
 
Ollie’s is now the Mid-Atlantic’s largest retailer of closeout, surplus, and salvage merchandise. The chain currently operates 100 stores in 12 states. Most recently, the community of Barboursville, WV embraced the addition of an Ollie’s Bargain Outlet.
 
After 25 years, Ollie's buyers are still scouring the globe for bargains to bring back to their loyal customers in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, New York, North Carolina, and New Jersey.

CATHEDRAL VILLAGE(private)

Jim has played this venue several times over the past few years for St. Patty's Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, July 4th, summer "Lu-als" and other seasonal functions as the residents have enjoyed his performances and requested him back again and again; and so today is the outdoor Memorial Day picnic 2011.

At Cathedral Village, their Concert Committee invites quality musical artists to perform in their auditorium, Cathedral Hall. Once a month, classically trained musicians perform live for their residents using an array of instruments such as the violin, piano, and cello. Most of the professional musicians who visit have traveled the world performing with major orchestras. They also showcase up and coming award winning musicians. Their monthly concerts are one of the most popular events. Attendance is high and the reviews are always flattering.

Cathedral Village, a nonprofit, nondenominational and multicultural CCRC (Continuing Care Retirement Community) is located in the residential neighborhood of Andorra in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Since opening in 1979, their Board of Directors, management and staff, have dedicated their time and efforts to creating a unique, active, and secure environment for their residents.
